Jamba

On Tuesday I had a break between classes. I wasn't feeling very hungry, but was in the mood for a cold drink on a hot day. I climbed into my scorching car, started blasting the AC and some Vampire Weekend, and sped out of the parking lot browsing my mind to decide where I would like to go. My first thought was for an Italian soda from starbucks, but then I remembered they had closed. So next was Beans & Brews. I drove towards it annoyed at the bust traffic at 3 in the afternoon. Then I passed Jamba Juice and suddenly had a craving for their white gummy bear smoothie, off the menu. After a few u-turns i ended up in front of the little store. They had an advertisement for three new superfruit flavors: Pomegranate, yumberry, and acai. I entered fully dressed in my chef attire and ordered the acai berry smoothie.

Here is my critique

The store has a nice clean atmosphere. It smells of citrus, which is an inviting smell especially to me. The cashier guy seemed overly friendly, and I don't think he would have been hitting on, didn't seem that way. Then the girl who called out names seemed like she would rather be the poop scooper from Home Star Runner. It took about 5 minutes for my order to fill, 3 of which I spent standing waiting for a chair to open. Then it came, my 12 ounces of acai goodness. It tasted like the berry in smoothie form, no overpowering sugar. I believe I paid $4 for the small cup, about 12 oz.

Overall, I liked my experience. If you haven't had a Jamba for a while like myself, go get one of the new superfruit smoothies. But probably just a small as a nice refresher on a hot day.
