Simply Sushi

I had never eaten actual sushi that wasn't store bought from Albertsons so I grabbed my sister Staci, the only one in my family close by who would eat sushi, and we decided to go try a place called Ginza in Draper (Also located in SLC). Ginza opens at 530 for dinner only and we were looking for lunch at 11. So we went to Simply Sushi on 7200 and bangerter ish.

Simply Sushi was simply amazing.

We got two all you can eat, one for each of us, and went at it. Spicy upside down shrimp, spicy tuna, California roll, San Fransisco roll, King Kong, salt water eel, and snapper among others. We sat at the bar so we could continue to order and see both TV screens. One of which was playing the world cup (Yeah!) The other was playing that awesome Japanese game show where they do really dumb stuff and the English subtitles make it even dumber.

I did not get to try everything, and I plan on going back there during dinner hours to try the sushi offered later in the day. I loved my experience at Simply Sushi. The environment felt clean, the atmosphere was relaxed, and we didn't have that annoying waiter who keeps asking us how everything is every time she passes by. (I know several of us hate that)

So if you want to join me for sushi, I'm ready to go.
There is a new place in the District called Blue Fish I want to try.

  1. I hate it when waiters do that, too. Leave me alone! I think they should just look my way as they go by. If I need them, I'll beckon. :)

  2. Oh, and I only tried sushi once. It was homemade. It was gross. I don't like fish in general.
